Operation Save a Life

Freemansburg Fire Company No. 1 is proud to have teamed up with WFMZ-TV and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner to provide free smoke detectors to those in the community most in need. To apply for smoke detectors for your home, you must live in the Borough of Freemansburg. If you live outside the Borough, you may check WFMZ's website for information on the possibility of available smoke detectors in your area.

WFMZ has made available both a news report and a video on their website.

There are a limited number of detectors available, and we will not be able to serve everyone who applies. If you are chosen to receive smoke detectors, a representative from the Freemansburg Fire Company will contact you directly to make an appointment to come to your home. A representative from the fire company will install the detectors in your home for you.
